A special highlight at the 16th Blechexpo – International Trade Fair for Sheet Metal Working – and the 9th Schweisstec – International Trade Fair for Joining Technology – will be the presentation of the “best Award 2023” for outstanding innovation at Blechexpo/Schweisstec, which the trade fair promoter Schall will organise for the sixth time together with trade journals Blechnet and MM Maschinenmarkt. The new designation emphasises the competition’s elevated quality status. All submissions will be reviewed and evaluated by an expert jury with members from industry, association, research institute and the trade press. The objective is to ceremoniously honour the best innovations in the sheet metal working industry, each in its own technical category.
Due to strong demand and requests from the industry, the submission deadline has now been extended to 15 September 2023.
Expert jury & categories
A major benefit of the “best-Award 2023” is that all submissions will be viewed and evaluated by an excellent expert jury from industry, associations, research institutes and the trade press. The declared goal of trade fair promoter Schall and the experts is to ceremoniously select the best innovations in the sheet metal processing industry.

- Winners will be announced live on the large awards stage at Blechexpo/Schweisstec 2023 directly at the kick-off on the first day of the trade fair.
- Winners will be provided with the opportunity of presenting their triumphant innovations to an expert audience during a no-cost time slot at the Exhibitor Forum on the 8th of November, 2023.

The trophy of the “best-Award 2023” is made in Baden-Württemberg, Germany
The Innovation Award for Blechexpo/Schweisstec 2023 is made right in the heart of Baden-Württmberg. The trophy is made in Germany, for the international world of sheet metal working:
A 10 mm thick steel plate made of hot-rolled raw steel is inserted. The original lettering “best” is lasered out on an automated high-tech machine. The laser edges of the letters and the trophy body are deburred. The stable base plate is also made of hot-rolled raw steel and is invisibly screwed to the trophy surface. The entire piece is given a matt lacquer finish to protect it against corrosion and grip. And then nobly inscribed.
Each trophy is unique due to the original finish of the steel – and thus the highest appreciation for the innovative strength of the winners. From the industry for the industry. Look forward to the best of the best!
